Just love how Santo holds up the Virgen de Guadalupe

Imagenes de Plata, Images of Silver, is an art exhibit of Lucha Libre at the Head Post Office (Correo Mayor, Dirección General de Correos), which is east the Palacio de Bellas Artes.

Imagenes de Plata, are paintings done by El Hijo del Santo to pay coincide with the new postage stamp the Mexican Postal Service just created. You can see paintings, capes, masks and earlier signed comic books by Papi Santo at this exhibit. You can even see posters of the stamps. I have yet to get my hands on at least one of the stamps because they keep running out!

Fun thing about all this is that we now have stamps on top of: El Santo t-shirts, shoes, cards, pillows, necklaces, earrings, capes and stretchy pants.

This exhibit continues at the Head Post Office until the end of August 2008 I am told. Check it out. GREAT.

Taking the Metro? Get off at Bellas Artes and walk one block.
