MY BLOG PIC MAKES THE BIG TIME IN NEW YORK CITY

Well I got a note from my friend Judith Torrea, Senior Writer for People en Español in where she wrote to tell me that:

She attended to the 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards Presented by IBM awards banquet the other evening “at a beautiful hotel at Times Square, in NYC;” Judith had 2 nominations for 2 articles/best article in Spanish magazine and best digital article and People en Español had another one, for the best magazine coverage. Judith also said that she had two surprises too. The first one surprise was that of having here name and a picture in the celebrities list (next to Michael Urie, and in the same list with Vanessa Williams, Tyra Banks…).

But the best surprise was the picture of her used! She said that GLAAD had used the picture I had taken of Judith when she was in Mexico City, something I had posted when I first started this blog. Judith said “The picture that we took in Chilangolandia, en el Castillo!!! It was very fun! and I thought that you will be happy to know it!” Well she was right, I was glad to know that I had a small part in this most important event.

My applause goes to Judith, for she won two awards!!the best Spanish magazine article and the best coverage por People en Espanol!
