WENT TO PARIS YESTERDAY: SALON PARIS A CANTINA

click photo above to see more pics of the placeYesterday I was tired from walking around all day. AND being that I was hungry I decided to go to Salon Paris, a 1940’s cantina where a mix of artists, poets and families go. They have great food that is free if you drink.
This is a favorite place of mine here in my neighborhood, Col. Santa Maria la Ribera. Great place to eat, drink and watch Lucha Libre on TV! Legendary Ranchera y Mariachi singer Jose Alfred Jimenez used to work at Salon Paris as a waiter before he made the big time. They have pictures of the singer in the place paying homage. Salon Paris now has a buffet on Sundays: all you can eat for $60.00 pesos, like $4.30 USD. Muy good price.
