Not so politically correct – Negrito
Yesterday I went to eat tacos in this very small place that sells them cheap and good. They had their television turned on to cartoons because one of the guys that works their had brought his daughter that looked to be like 10-years old.
What caught my attention was a commercial where all the Caucasian kids in the commercial had real BIG black afro wigs on – I mean Billy Preston size hair. What was strange in looking at this commercial was that everyone was white (yes, México like USA doesn’t have to many people of color on TV) and being stereotypical of Black people having big Afros. One kid even pulls the product out if his hair where he had it hidden in his big Afro. What was is the product? A chocolate éclair type cake called “Negrito,” which translates to little black person! I am not making this up!
I did go buy a Negrito so I could check it out. It is a chocolate covered and chocolate filled very sweet pastry. Here is a picture of the label and if the pastry wasn’t so small, it would look phallic.
